Ar275 with L4-01 error (main motor lock)

Customer called with this error today and i see it is a main motor lock code. In your experience is it more commonly the main motor needs changing or more likely caused by excess load such as fuser ceasing up etc. I have a 235 for parts but want to see if I should be other parts to take incase. Very few times have I had to replace main drive motor; most likely it is a fuser sized up of maybe the drum blade flipped.

Thanks Paul. I'll be prepared for each. Frank

i would lean towards the fuser locked up, but a lot of the time its just a jam or I've seen this when the toner runs out.

In this case the fuser screws stripped out the plastic housing and fuser was not stable which stressed motor causing L4-01. Used longer screws for now but will have to modify on next trip. Frank

There is a TB about this with part numbers, but the long screws will hold it until they upgrade.
"Measure to improve secure mounting of the Fuser Unit." TB=MFP-TB-113.
