I have a MXM453n and am getting a line in the direction of travel on both sides of the paper. The lines are in the same place,about 3 inches in from the edge,and the line on the back is lighter. I've replaced the drum and cleaning blade, inspected and cleaned the fuser, replaced the transport roller, and cleaned the machine out,but nothings worked so far. It's intermittant and happenning sporadically. So basically, what could be causing this "in the direction of travel" line?

Does it happen on prints and copies? Could be optics if on copies. If on prints and copies, and the drum blade and main charge have been replaced, I would either clean or replce the laser unit. -
for me ll try to make a list print, if no line go to check optical area, if got line, check for engine parts.
for engine, check for drum, main grid, cleaning blade, hot roller.Dont forget dv cleaning seal broken also can cause toner stick on grid.Comment
