    Sharp MX-2310u

    Hello,

Got a customer that updated all PC's from XP to Windows7.
Since then, not one PC can print to the Sharp MX-2310 (!?)
It is not on a server, they print directly through IP.

Have not made the visit yet, I was called by there Ict'er, he can't get it right . .

Maybe a firmware update is need here ?

Anyone ? Not much experience on this machine.

    Thanks in advance

    Gr George

Three things off the top of my head...
      1. Did they get new PCs or upgrade the OS?. Either way, your print drivers are most likely gone.
      2. XP is 32 bit, most Win 7 are 64 bit.
3.I always thought the "U" model Sharps were non network unless you added the option.

Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!

Most likely whoever installed the driver installed the pcl6 driver instead of the saplc or vica versa depending upon what print board you have

go to www.sharp.net.au to download latest SPLC driver for win 7.
The mx-2310u come with standard SPLC network printer.Do not use the pcl driver unless the machine come with PCL printer expansion kit installed.

For the older models, yes, but now the letter is practically meaningless.

Mojorolla is right on the money, it's worth noting that 32 bit drivers can still be installed in a 64 bit architecture, but not vice-versa.
