    Weird arm455 problem

Had a truely strange 455 problem. The symptom was the machine would sit there and every few seconds would restart its self. After replacing the power supply I finally noticed that the machine would behave normally with the cat 5 cable unplugged. Narrowed it down to the user , cleared her print que and problem went away. Narrowed it to one web site she was trying to print something from(using internet explorer). When she would use chrome it would print fine. Never seen a problem like this that would cause the machine to look like its constantly restarting. This took all afternoon to figure out so maybe it will save someone else the headache. Dances.

Had same issue about two weeks ago. It too was a web page. Problem was tracking down the computer that had sent job as job log didn't have job listed and as soon as job hit spool on copier it rebooted. After visiting all the PC's in office except for receptionist's one of the secretary's finally realized that when she was on reception desk for lunch coverage a job she printed had not. Lo and behold there it was. Deleted job and all was good.

Ha! Just replied to another thread with this experience. Very bizarre.

There's a firmware update that corrects this issue. Update firmware and hunt down the offending print job and destroy it.
