Most of the time when I see this issue, the staple cartridge isn't inserted 100% of the way.

Thats what it seems like but what causes that? And any solution to this problem. It already had the staple unit replaced and the cartridge. It came back within 3 months

Check the connectors going to the staple unit. It's been a while since I had to dig into one of these and I can't recall if it's a ribbon cable or other.

The staples in this machine is from our company that orders from sharp. I think at least

Check the wiring harness to the stapler, I have had them rub through the insulation and cause random problems . Might be worth looking at. Had to splice a bit of wire to fix the problem.

                Good luck.

                  Hi

I have the same error on my ar-m451n which shows "add staples" but i checked and i found that the staple cartridge is 70% full and the cartridge is inserted correctly , but i found that amazingly the home positioning sensor of the stapler unit and one spring is detached from it , i download and read the service guide of ar-fn6 finisher but i don't find how i can open the stapler unit and attach that part again . i will be happy if any of you could help me .

                  thanks a lot

Good luck with that. I've had a few of these staplers apart and they never seem to reassemble again. Too many very small parts. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
