I want to replace the slit glass on MX-C401 but the parts guide does not show it. The closest part that I see is the whole scanner unit PN 0PZ040001685A. The only reason I wanted to replace the slit glass is because the customer complains about having to clean it often to get rid of scan lines on copies/scans. You can see some paper wear on the glass and I'm thinking dirt, ink, etc. adheres to it easier. Does anybody out there have a part number for the slit glass if it is available? Thanks, Juan

Re: Sharp MX-C401 Slit Glass
These scanner units were billed as airtight. The unit was not designed to have individual parts replaced. Buy the whole unit or break one apart from another Frontier machine.Cthulhu for president! Why settle for the lesser evil? -

Akitu, thanks a bunch for the quick response. This machine is not on contract so it will be up to them if they want to spend the money!Comment

Thanks ZooTech, that is a good suggestion. I was thinking of trying some Rain-X. I wonder which one of the two would last longer.Comment
