Did you try your own PDF document? I suspect that the specific document pulling this message is encrypted, whether or not it is their policy. If that specific document is not encrypted, you should be able to open it on your laptop. If it is encrypted you'll get a similar message on your laptop. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Ignore it, it should say if the document has a password then it must be entered. There is probably a setting somewhere to turn this message off, but I have not looked into it.

Hey thanks guys for getting back to me on this, it's strange I tried printing one of our TT buletins from my usb flash drive and the message came up however the document still printed, when I tried the clients pdf document on his flash drive it asked for a password that he says he is not aware off and the password msg prevented me from printing his document, I should also mention that he is using a Mac to create his pdf documents, I am hoping it's a setting on the webpage of the MFP that can be edited.

Did you ever find a solution for this? It's happening on one of the machines at my biggest customer and I need to get it resolved!

if your talking about the password message , that is normal the file will print, if your trying to print pdf from a mac on a usb stick, and it doesn't print with password message on screen, the user is picking the wrong file, When a file is saved on Mac a second file is created for that document, it is smaller in size and a Mac "expert" told me it is like a system record for that doc. you do not see this file on the Mac but when you take a usb stick that was used on a Mac and plug it into a Windows pc , you will see the file it is the same name but it starts with an dot underscoure ._xxx.pdf and is a lot smaller than the actual file xxx.pdf.

when you plug your usb from a Mac into the sharp mfp it will see both files , the ._xxx.pdf will not print, but the xxx.pdf will print.

You're the man. I'm sure this is the issue since the machine doing the USB printing is used by students at a university. Most probably use macs. This is the answer! PM me your paypal ID, I'm gonna send you some beer money.
