    [Jamming] MX-M550N Jam Code MPRD2_N2

We have a MX-M550N that jams out of Tray2 (right side) of the Top Large Cassette only. ALL OTHER TRAYS work fine, including Tray1. I have replaced the entire Tray1/Tray2 Cassette, the Developer Unit and Drum Unit because of Developer dumping down into the trays (made to tray 3 in fact). This machine was NOT jamming before the dumping occurred. When I pull out the Tray1/Tray2 Cassette and that overpass guide drops down I see 1 Sensor there and no way to get to it. I believe that Developer has gotten into it, but its covered top and bottom by solid steel plates! Do I have to disassemble the entire machine just to get to it?

Is that sensor even the problem? Are there other causes for constant MPRD2_N2 jam codes?

    Help!?

    Thanks in advance.

I think I'd replace the pickup clutches and vertical path clutches. I've seen this on a number of different models. Developer starts to dump and is magnetically drawn right into the electromagnetic clutches. First tray #1 fails, then tray #2, then tray #3 ...

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

tandem tray transport unit can be removed by remove front cover to expose the screws on frame by tray 1 and then there are screws on left side where paper comes up from tray 1 ,then move transport unit to the left to release and there's a cn that needs to be disconnected to remove unit completely. transport rollers are probably contaminated by developer . sensors are also on unit. check service manual for exact procedure. it's been awhile since I have removed this unit.
