Toshiba eStudio 45x re-programming-Hard Disk Cloning

Toshiba eStudio Series operating system is on their Hard Disk,so if it fails, system won't come up!
For re-programming the MFP , system software is needed if you don't have it ,the only way is to clone Hard Disk,
but if your source HDD is bigger than destination in size , that would be second problem.

I tried many software from Gparted to reduce the partition size ,and EaseUS and Acronis for cloning ,but none of them could make that clone properly.
So if you know the way and had some experience please let us know how to clone bigger HDD to smaller one or how to reprogram MFP toshiba!
    Thanks

These other methods all sound interesting, but I've always just loaded the firmware. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Yeah you could not do that anyway as the signature files would not match, security keys etc.

'mayybe' on the VxWorks based older boxes but any of the debain bases boxes I don't see how that would ever work.

Does the firmware install on the Hard Disk ? So find the proper firmware is an issue...any idea where to obtain and a little more explanation about the loading process.
          thanks

The simplest part of that is to get yourself a service manual. It explains how to format the drive and load firmware.

Getting the firmware is a bit more difficult. You could become a Toshiba dealer. You could ask a close friend that is a Toshiba dealer. (I am not that close friend.)

i think you need update the firmware from v2101 to v2122, they supports 320GB SE-HDD, OSX10.9 and you must read service manual before update.
