I presume you are talking about the self encrypting HDDs used and whether a standard drive can be substituted? If this is the question, then the simple answer is no.

No. Problem is machine takes long time to startup.

Hi. Exactly what model is it and are you talking about the additional encryption option? When you say start up, is this first copy out time, warm up time or print from network.
