    Toshiba 2830 ADF E-712 error

    This is ADF MR-3018.
ADF feed the original and eject it, copy comes out fine, the display goes to Jam E712.
Replace ADF paper registration switch, and ADF board.
    The registration switch works fine.
When executing simulation 03-FAX-7 the only switch highlighted is the "E", none of the other switches respond, (all the other squares stay blank activated or not).
    Any idea?
    Thanks

Before you make this overly complex, I would suggest doing a visual inspection of the separation roller. Most E712, E721 jams are caused by one or more flat spots worn on the separation roller.

In situations like this I clean the remaining rollers, examine and possibly replace the DF rollers. If you still have a problem after that we can discuss it further. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

The problem is that there is no jam, the paper go through and ejected, and the copy comes out with perfect registration.

        Look for something like this:

        Original Detection Flag Toshiba.JPG

The original detection sensor may touch the sides of the valley. =^..^=

I didn't think about this option, thanks. I'll get back to the copier after the Holiday.

Check also the plastic actuator that trigger the sensor...Sometimes it might be out of position...

              Conclusion:
The feed roller was misinstalled, and the original empty switch (S3) stays always on.
I didn't know what was done to this machine prior to my arrival, I was sent to figure out the E712.
Guys your help pointed me to the right direction.
              Thanks.
