    [Dead] UPDATE 455

    hi
    i should update toshiba 455
    but mfp's have not color dot
    i have frimwares red dot and yellow dot
    i should to use whitch frimware to update mfp?

      Simple answer: Do not check scanner firmware, and you can use either. It's the scanner that is different. =^..^=
      If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          Also, e455 did not have yellow/red dot. That's the e456 series. Don't use the wrong f/w or you'll have a real mess on your hands.
          Why does every customer think they're the first one to ever say: "you've been here so much we should get you an office, ha, ha, ha"?

                  There are some Es 255/305/355/455 without red and yellow

                      When e455 series launched, it is using 3CCD where there is no stickers...

                      Then after sometimes due to part shortage issue, they changed to 4CCD where red stickers is indicate using 3CCD while yellow stickers is indicate using 4CCD.

                      If not mistaken, this issue only affect latter batch of e455 & early batch of e456 series.

                      After that, all newer models starting from e457 series onward are using 4CCD.

                      Anyhow, if want to play safe without screwing up the machine by updating wrong firmware, then just skip the scanner firmware as what blackcat mentioned.
