[Dead] Toshiba 2550C Use SATA Drive instead of ADI Drive

My customer has a machine that has an ADI drive that shows F-101-4. I saw in earlier forums here that you could wipe the SRAM and get the SATA HDD to work. Does anyone know where in the manual it tells how to do that ? I don't really want to put the ADI Drive back in it. Been giving alot of problems...

I guess my question would be that the ADI HDD is an option on this machine. There is only 1 Sys Board and 1 SDRAM listed in the parts manual. (The SDRAM is where I believe the ADI option software sits) I want to install the normal HDD, erase the SDRAM and format the drive then reload firmware and see what happens. I am a little scared to do this at this point though lol

        Rightfully so. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
