Estudio 2500AC Can't access service mode

    Hi Guys,
I have the manual for this machine, but for the life of me I cannot get into the service mode.

When I get to the login, I just get an error. I've tried to reset the service password, but it doesn't change anything.

Please help. It's driving me crazy!

Um ... maybe it would be pertinent to know what that error is. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Yeah, an error message would help.

I've seen 3rd party software, such as PaperCut, change the service passwords. But it usually makes them blank.

No error code. I'm just trying to clear the maintenance counter.

Have not tried #1048#. Thanks, will give it a try.

It sounds like you want to get into PM Support Mode. There are two ways to access the copier support functions on EBN copiers. One is to power up while holding down the Function Clr and Start buttons then at the password screen type in #1048#. A list will come up and the selection you want is number 20( PM Support). The other copier support function is accessed by holding down the Function Clr and Home buttons while powering up. This allows you to do things like firmware updates and HDD recovery, etc.

Thank you very much, Andrew! I'll give it a try. (Not sure why I couldn't find that in one of the manuals.)

The information on diagnostic modes is in chapter five in the Service Manual.

While i know this is an old post, it helped out a lot today, and thank you for explaining the correct buttons top press "One is to power up while holding down the Function Clr and Start buttons then at the password screen type in #1048#".

Re: Estudio 2500AC Can't access service mode

Sometimes I've seen machines that have been incorrectly cloned, from one type to another time
                      mess up the service password.
You might also try NO password when the box comes up. Sometimes on the older machines it isn't
                      needed.
If you need to reset the password, check the 08 codes in the service manual which will set it back to
                      the default.

Also, with the initiatives to change the default password(s) from factory default to something else it may simply have been changed.

Have a look in the service and user management manuals for resetting the service password which I believe is an administrator user level function.
