3511 w/ "Not Allowed Now" message

I'm trying to calibrate this machine but get this message. I've seen it on other 3511's but been unable to clear so I let it go and the machine works but it bugs me. The image quality seems to look OK. I updated firmware yesterday since the ver. installed was old but no help. Any ideas?

Make sure there no print jobs in queue.Delete all jobs from private, invalid and try again.

05-396. If that doesn't work, go through all the setup procedures in order.
      Hope that helps !

follow tsbservice's advice on the print jobs. if there are any private / invalid jobs in the queue, you will get the message "Not Allowed Now" when you try to calibrate. it's a very common problem.

You can run the calibrations (copy, pcl600/1200, ps600/1200) with 05 codes. I don't have a book in front of me now but they are in there, some where around 1000 i think. I would do this after running 395, unless you have replaced new parts and the CQ is great, then 396.
I will not give you service manuals or firmware.

You have to clear the page memory of the fax, 1 and * power on then 102. Even if you dont have the fax option it will sometimes stop the calibration. Good Luck
