e7527AC Constantly dropping off network and reinitializing

This recently installed copiers, installed with Papercut using PIN codes, at a big law firm, replacing an older similar Toshiba constantly drops the network conection and reinitializes. This makes it hard to log into Papercut and overall slows down this high print volume cystomer.

Another idential e7527AC nearby does not have the same problem.

We have replaced the network cable and the IT Dept denies any problem on ther side.

    Any ideas?

Oh, and how nice! There isn't a green & yellow LED on the network jack to monitor it either. 😉
    08-9083 initialize the NIC?
Any chance the two machines are not far apart that you could swap them and see if the problem
    follows the copier?

Nice idea but the copier with fully loaded accessories would be difficult to move and swap.

We try and initialize the NIC.

      Thanks,

They always do! (I've had to school more than a few IT Dept how to do their job)

I would try a crossover network connection to a laptop if you have one and do network tests, pinging etc, that will isolate whether it is machine side or their network.

Sometimes if the cabling in their network is faulty it will have trouble negotiating a high speed connection to the switch, I would also try dropping the ethernet speed down to 100 or 10 base T just for testing.

I have also once had a bad clone file cause networking issues like that and I had to wipe the HDD and set everything back up from scratch.
No, I will not send you Manuals, Software or your own little repair Genie to fix all your problems for you.

I agree with djbass . You might have a bad network switch port or cabling along the way also. The crossover cable to your laptop is a sure test. Also you can connect you're laptop to the network connection and set up a continuous ping back to the server, and watch the readings. I had one case where the pings would drop off for 4 or 5 pings, then pick back up again, then repeat. IT later admitted that the server was over 100meters away, nearing the useful limit of cat6 cables. I'm not sure how they solved that one. Maybe there is some sort of signal booster available? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
            1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
            2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
            3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
            4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
            5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Sticking a small 4 port switch in there helps to sometimes prove things to IT - it will act as a buffer so-to-speak

3rd Party IT Support has agreed to install a Managed Smart Switch to further troubleshoot.

What are managed switches? Managed switches let users adjust each port on the switch to any setting, enabling them to manage, configure and monitor the network in many ways. They also provide greater control over how data travels over the network and who can access that data

I failed to mention that Papercut is installed on a virtual server.

For most users, the copier/ Papercut combo works fine.

I am going to get the users who are having issues identifed and their profiles investigated via our Papercut expert via the Debug log.

We had one about a month ago. Customer upgraded. Old machine was ours. New machine was ours. Old machine worked without issue.
New one, the next day fell off the network. New cable etc, nothing. So our installer & their IT guy moved the network connection to a different
port. Worked for about an hour and quit again. Of course the customer said it was us, we said we'll keep at it. Was about to order a new
system board, when their IT called and said the other port we tried was bad, as was EIGHT other ports on their switch!
They swapped out the switch with a new one and problem solved.
But it's NEVER their network ya know.
