    4528A image problem

Tech called me on this one. Machine in a school (no paper cut). Complaint that when they copy anything with a photo, be it a copy or print job, the text is ok, but
the image is missing. (see attached sample). Tech didn't copy the test chart which has text and images though.
Tried a couple things, checked the SSD files, no corruption. He made a backup, formatted the drive, flashed it and restored the backup.
Did it again. Then it formatted the drive again, flashed it, but left the backup off and it corrected it.
Any ideas what settings they could have changed to cause images to be suppressed?

Were I to make a guess, there is an image setting that is maxed out and stored as default. Maybe background? saturation? perhaps it's designated as a text only image? Reformatting the drive would not restore that kind of a setting, but initializing print/copy settings would. Let me know what you find.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Well, got a reply from our district rep. He said they've seen a few weird ones like this due to a corrupt SRAM. The tech after the 2nd time, did NOT restore the backup
and the problem went away, so he told them to just set it back up from scratch. If it happens again, I told him to SAVE the backup file and let me know before he
does a wipe/decom/reflash so I can grab the CSV's and see the difference between the before/after.
