I've noticed MORE issues with the ones that start with SSXXXXXXX serial numbers, than the ones that start with CNXXXXXXXX serial numbers.
Apparently the Singapore assembled ones have more issues than the ones in assembled in China.
One of the first things I do when setting up a SSxxxxxxxx machine is pop the back cover and look at the two USB connections that go to the
control panel area. If they are backwards, pretty much everything works...unless you have to use the Logic/System board test tool. It won't
work if they have them switched.

    4525, out of box C550

Boy, this was a fun one! 4525, MR-4010. After setup & reboot, C550. System board check tool indicated an issue. #16, SLG communication fail.
Sent the board to Hytec. They found a bad connector, replaced and sent it back. After getting the board back in the machine, getting the license
keys, firmware up to date, then setting 08-9022 to 3, to recalibrate the colors, registration etc, the IQC passed, color registration passed. Upon the
first gamma, paper stopped at the registration roller, then popped up a E0A0 error. "Image transport ready time out jam". I'd never heard of that one.
Reran the logic/system board test tool. EVERYTHING passed. Reseated & checked the ribbon cables plugged into the system board. All ok. Played
around a while, didn't see anything. Had A SECOND SET OF EYES take a look and he noticed the smaller CN329 ribbon cable on the LOGIC board didn't
look to be seated. Once we reseated that, boom! Everything worked!
So, OUT OF THE BOX new, the system board was bad, and one of the ribbon cables wasn't seated.
Just because it's new, doesn't make it better...just new.
Working...
