    3815A doc feeder jamming, dog-earing

    Hi all,

I have a 3815A with the MR-4000 doc feeder. Right before the original makes the turn-around it will jam. Doesn't do it every time but it's pretty often. It is also dog-earing towards the rear of the document. (I tried to run originals in the R direction and it still dog-ears the rear part of the original.) I have checked all of the mylars and they're all straight. Can't see anything that would cause a hang-up.

    Any ideas? Thanks

Most of the time when I get dog ears from that DSDF, it's the height adjustment is off. Too much gap between the DSDF and
    the scanner.

Is the lower cover of the MR4000 properly latched at the front and the rear? Is that same lower cover broken out around the screw valleys (especially rear)?

      What jam codes? E774, E725, E727? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
