Toshiba eStudio 3555C "time for periodic maintenance 00E8" or ?? OOE8.

I looked and looked in the service manual and web, and it lists a zero for the first, ( 1st digit always a zero, the second digit for transfer roller but not if a zero. then the 3rd digit, it doesn't list an E and the 4th i don't think it had an "8".

i forgot to do a printout that should show the PCR, DEV, etc. counts.

has anyone a recollection of what that code indicates?

    thank you very much, Jim

Yeah, I print out a 9S-103 PM report. It's much simpler.

The digits appear in the opposite order that you'd expect: digit 1 is on the far right, digit 2 is second from the right, ... etc etc. It's a hexadecimal number.

The 00E8 means that you'll need CMY developer kit and K drum & blade, but any other PM items that are more than one print away will not be indicated until they trigger the PM counter. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Hey blackcat4866, i had a feeling you would be the one to come thru for me.
you usually have great help for so many.

i did interpret that the hexadecimal was read from the left to right, but i wonder if in my haste, i forgot.

i need to reply to an earlier post i had for a different code on this one.

it had the CA00. i went out and inspected it and found the yellow developer low.
i installed the new Y. Dev bag, calibrated it and i think i forgot to reset that counter??

but it had been down. after the dev. it worked fine except that it showed the maintenance message.

and man, that color developer is gold dust if you catch my drift...

thank you very much for the clarification.

      have a nice evening.
