    GR-9000 E-5516ACT problem

Customer has a 5516ACT, and DID NOT KNOW they had a bluetooth keyboard (law office). A new person at the firm "discovered" they have a BT keyboard and it didn't work. Tech went on site, verified it had power (wasn't used in 2 years) and tried to connect the keyboard to the machine, it discovers the keyboard, connects, shows it is connected but does not function. Tech could connect it to his laptop & phone without any issues.
In touch says to use firmware 1600C (which they provided), plus removing software updates from the cloud.
    Downgrade the firmware 4 versions??

Anyone else run into something like that?

I know this probably won't help you much, but when add-on keyboards first came out on Sharps, we quickly discovered that not every keyboard was compatible with every MFP device. Sharp gave us a list of (3) manufacturers of keyboards that were guaranteed to work. All others were hit-and-miss.

Depending on the age of the keyboard, you may discover it's just not compatible. Certainly bluetooth communication has evolved over the years and is not always backwards compatible.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Yeah, I think what we might do is just order another "inexpensive" keyboard that should fit the space and see if it works.
Since TABS doesn't "support" the 9000, it's been updated to the 9001, but they said it wouldn't work on the older style
      machines.

This just seems like one of those situations where you spend multiple labor hours to save $20. =^..^=

Yeah, but it is a law firm...and you know how some of those can be a royal PITA.
