    Weird Department counter problem

I have a customer that had a 5516AC with department counts set up to print in black and white, but request a code for color prints. It's been working fine and they are used to it. They recently received a second 5516AC, and have all of Top Access set up the same way as the first machine, but the problem is they have to enter a code for all their prints, not just color. Both models and firmware are identical, one prints b&w without a code and one doesn't. We brought both machines up in Top Access I compared the security settings, and the department management settings I could not find a reason why they would behave differently. The last thing she said was she was going to try to clone the working copier to the one that is misbehaving. I understand they are still struggling with this issue from what my dispatcher has just shared with me.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

    Re: Weird Department counter problem

It's a silly Toshiba interface thing. Toshiba calls what you're looking for "No Limit Black" and it can only be enabled from the control panel of the copier. Go to Counter - Department Management - No Limit Black - Enable.
Why does every customer think they're the first one to ever say: "you've been here so much we should get you an office, ha, ha, ha"?
