    9029A CD64 on easy setup

Nothing like starting off the year with a good one!
Upon easy setup, the motor(s) spin for about 3-4 seconds, then pops CD64 (sub hopper motor).
FIRST thing I checked was the 5 pin connector on the sub hopper (had that happen a couple times).
    Pins look perfect.
Next was the 5 wire harness from the motor, back to the harness under the EPU. Cut all the wire ties
and a couple places were VERY flat. Checked the continuity of the harness, all 5 wires check ok.
Thinking it is the logic, called the hotline to open a ticket. They reminded me to use the board check
tool. (I forget about that one because I rarely run into a board issue).
Double checked the instructions for the tool, plugged it in booted it up holding the proper keys. Came up
with the mount NG error. Tried a new thumb drive, downloaded the file again, still gave the error.
So...thought I'd check the firmware, which was 1733, and according to the instruction file, "should" work
with 1733 or later, but, I set 9029 to 99 to get it out of easy setup. Flashed it to 1801. Put 9029 back to 0
put the dev cartridge back, rebooted, and it again ran for 3-4 seconds, coded out with the CD64.
Double checked the connections on the system & logic, everything ok.
Called the hotline again and since it won't get into the board check, they suggested a system board, which is
    on order.

    Happy New Year! LOL

Pinched wires from factory, that's a great start I'd say! Good catch!

It's my go-to almost the first thing. It was explained to me YEARS ago there were two types of wire ties.
Round edge and square edge. Both had different pressure settings and sometimes they would squeeze them
too tight. Over the decades I've fixed a lot of intermittent problems by cutting the ties off and looking for
      screwed up harnesses.

Well Toshiba always send those same steps on bulletins as their previous wire tie vendors used to be pretty sharp on the edges and definitely would create issues, however I thought that problem was mitigated with. NOT!!

The stories I heard were that wire harness assemblers & installers were rewarded for neatness, and tight ties produce the "neatest" final appearance. Like all of you I've found wires completely severed by the ties. I don't know of any manufacturer now that groups 100vac wiring with 5vdc logic signal wiring ... not since the 90's. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
