Far easier to drill a hole in the side of the plastic and insert a cleaning tool. When finished cover the hole with grey coloured duct tape.
These are old discontinued product that should be replaced.
If you could find a top deck assembly it would be expensive and very labour intensive to replace.Last edited by SalesServiceGuy; 03-29-2024, 01:25 PM. -

Are you sure about that model number? the eStudio 305 is a Loire (Toshiba build, not Lexmark), and I can't find any reference to a Lexmark 338 on the internet. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

So, if the glass is dirty, what about the mirrors, how you gonna clean that .
Lexmark has some models with the scanner being a bit of work to get the glass off. They can all be removed and cleaned. The key thing with lexmark is you have to follow the instructions on how to remove the covers to remove the scanner area or you would break the tabs that hold them on the machine frame. On the field it might be a challenge , but if you have your wits, then it is definitely doable.THE ONLY THING FOR EVIL TO TRIUMPH IS FOR GOOD MEN TO DO NOTHING..........edmund burkeComment
