    3500C with CEC0 error

Roughly 140K copies, latest firmware..I have replaced registration motor (entire assembly with all gears), sensor, torque limiter with no success. Copier will run fine for 7-10 days, then CEC0 pops back up again. Not looking foward to LGC bd replacement yet, any body had this problem with a resolution? Emujo

The only time I had this problem, I replaced the silver roller and all the springs and bushings that are on the door below the 2nd transfer. They had got into a bind and were not releasing properly.

Kind of redundant looking at what you said but the only times I have had this problem I have sanded the shaft and cleaned the one way on the registration drive. (Can't remember exactly what shaft the one way is on but I remember it was obvious.) I have also seen customers some how break the transfer belt / 2nd transfer roller mating coupler. Not a good description... it's the black plastic thing on the transfer belt unit which has the wiring for the connector routed through it. The bearings on the 2transfer roller mate up to it.
I will not give you service manuals or firmware.

It looks like Toshiba has acknowledged this a problem, but I don't have full access to the FYI site any longer. The oneway clutch has been re-designed. I'm ordering and will post the resolution when finished. EMujo

I know this is an old thread but did the one-way clutch fix the issue? I have a 2330 with about 80k on it doing this now...

TT 09-112 e4520c error code CECO

            CONTENT

We would like to inform you of the countermeasure to the "CEC0 error" caused by the locking problem of the one-way clutch in the drive unit.

            1. Investigation of the cause

Follow the procedure below to check if the "CEC0 error" is caused by the locking problem of the one-way clutch, and if it is so, perform step 2 "Countermeasure".

            Note:
The "CEC0 error" caused by the locking problem of the one-way clutch does not always materialize while the cause is actually being investigated. Therefore, even if problems other than locking do not occur, perform step 2 "Countermeasure".

            Procedure:
            (1) Take off the inner cover and the duct.

            (2) Perform the output check (03-239) if the edge of the shaft is rotated by 180 degrees and then stopped, pressing the [START] button each time.
If it is not rotated, proceed to step (3) because the registration motor may not be rotating or the locking of the one-way clutch is defective.
If it is rotated by 180 degrees and then not stopped, the 2nd transfer roller position detection sensor or the harness may be the cause.

                  Re: 3500C with CEC0 error

The 3500C is not the same machine as the 281C
Transfer belt position detection abnormality (normal
speed): The home position of the transfer belt can-
not be detected. Clean sensors in the thransfer unit
