Toshiba eSTUDIO 45 error code F07

F07 Communication error between boards (LGC and SYS boards)

I had replaced the Hard Drive, The main power supply, the wiring is OK and all connectors from/to the LGC and SYS boards were replaced.

I think the problem could be LGC board, SYS board or corrupted firmware.
but how can I find out wich one is damaged.

Any help is welcome

firmware is where I would start along with the wall power. Check 08-253 for any entries with fffffffff fffffffff in them. That indicates a power surge.

The firmware was updated and machine is working fine

Got an E28 here with the same problem. Suspect bad system board. The copier is in an open warehouse and is filthy as hell though. I'm cleaning it up but somehow I don't think that is going to do a whole lot of good.

Checked error history. No fffffffffff fffffffffff errors found. Will attempt to update firmware first though.

Before you upgrade the firmware:

• Unplug/Plug all connectors from LGC and Sys boards (look for pinched wires)
  
• check the voltages out of the Main power supply and make sure they are all there.

I had faced this code twice:

1. Running copies sometimes pop-up the code, I replace main power supply to fix it.
2. Machine dead, all you see is the service code, I had to upgrade the Firmware

Replaced SYS board, did not fix the problem. Machine still will not flash the firmware. Next step is to replace the LGC. No pinched wires found on the machine. (believe me I had this thing stripped down) Probably had a power surge in there and took out the logic board. New SYS board will update but no activity on the LGC.

I understand the feeling.
I got this replay from LostInTexas:

"Unplug everything on the LGC
except the connectors for the
power supply and the SYS board
and plug them in one at a time until
the code comes back and them
troubleshoot at the component level."

Sorry dude, we don't troubleshoot at the component level. RFU = replace until fixed.

Problem fixed. replaced logic board and updated firmware. Machine now works perfectly.

• I removed the Laser unit for cleaning, when I put back it. I forgot plug an small connector on the laser unit (SNS connector)
  also check all wires from laser unit to LGC board

I'll recommend you start a new Thread, Other guys are more experienced than me

As Gabriel said, maybe worth a new thread on this. the connections are always worth a look on laser, as are the connectors on logic, on a 4511 i had to visit for CA20 someone had updated some of the firmware, but not others, so it was conflicting & causing CA20. so i'd check the firmware revisions of the machine. i have heard of the NVRAM failing & causing that error also.
