    Interesting!!!!

    I have connected a Toshiba E-Studio 550 with a GL-1020 installed and a Toshiba E-Studio 45 with a GA 1040,in a windows based network.
There is something special happens when i print in one of these printers.
If i turn off Toshiba E-Studio 45 and choose to print in this printer, automatically the document is printed in Toshiba E-Studio 550.
What i undertand is that two controllers know each other and work together as one,or there is a network port analizer in these controllers and devide the work as good as it's ok.

Is anyone experienced or have met this thing on your work?(just to know more about)

Windows have a print pooling feature that allows the work to go to these printers. Its under the printer properties, unless toshiba has its own.

I think you are wrong, because i have also an HP 4600DN printer and this happens only at toshiba controllers.

He's not wrong...Toshiba offers printer pooling through the drivers. I wouldn't think the Hp would automatically be grouped with these. Emujo
If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.

What Ip address are the machines on. If it is the same then this will happen also.

There are in the same range, but cannot have the same IP.because its not possible that two network adapters have the same IP and working.
Except IPs,network adapters use NETBIOS name and if there are two IPs same to each other,or two NETBIOS names same to each other, its like a "crash" over network.
But i think GA 1040 and GL 1020 have installed Network Port Analizer wich makes possible printing like it happens to me.

You can also buy software that will enable print pooling from the server.

The server will know that the copier is turned off by using the SNMP protocol. After this is established, the software will then push the job through to the other queue. This might be the reason why the HP isn't printing like this as it may not be setup in the pool of printers.

As far as Print Pooling is concerned, you can test that theory by checking the drivers and seeing if it is enabled under the Ports tab within the printer properties. Theoretically, when the printers have print pooling enabled, all jobs should be split down to the drivers with print pooling enabled, ie. 5 sets to one print queue and 5 sets to another queue.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.
