    Gl-1020 ssh password

Hi, I know that the GL-1020 controller and maybe others run linux and support ssh but I can not find a username and password anywhere on the internet in order to login to it. This would be extremely helpful to be able to log in remotely and to extend it's capabilities further by accessing the shell. I know someone has got to know how to do this. Thanks.

    Try these username/password combos:

    root/secret
    icp/secret

      those combos do not work.

I tried those combos but they didn't work when trying to ssh into the copier. Does the GL-1020 have a vga port and keyboard port or a console? If so maybe i could go into single-user mode and change the root password. thanks for your help though.

It has keyboard video and mouse connectors on the unit.

I got those password by running john on the shadow file that is on the recovry cd v2125.

If your controller is based on a different version the passwords may be different.

If you do manage to get into the unit in single access mode can you scp the shadow file out of the system and then email it to me?

        Thanks

The only problem is i don't have the recovery cd.

I might try and get into some type of single-user mode on the copier. The thing is I'm the IT guy at this company and they contract service for the copiers through another company. I'd have to do this after hours or on a weekend. I think people would be asking what the hell I'm doing if I go back there and hook up a monitor and keyboard or take the hard drive out of the controller. It would be nice to have "real access to the controller though, be able to access cups web interface do other useful things on it.
