Toshiba E studio 162 with fax board

I have had ongoing issues with this Estudio 162. The customer mainly uses it to fax.
Originally there was a memory full error but I was able to resolve that but now the customer complains that when she sends faxes they appear blank on the receiving end the only thing thats visible is a header text. Is this a setting?

There are two adjustments for the ADF in service mode... one is called OC Float and the other is for the scanner position. It could be that the scanner is not moving to the correct place. Try faxing off the glass to make sure. I have also seen the scanner not move over the slit glass at all. The motor moves at high speed mode and if the rail and bar are not greased well then the motor can't move the scanner assy at high speed and it will just sit there. Usually this is combined with a noise though. Faxing off the glass should help you narrow it down.
I will not give you service manuals or firmware.
