Hello! We have Toshiba e-studio 206 that is installed with usb cable.
Official drivers for e-studio 206 aquired from the official site had been installed without errors, the device does not indicate any errors as well and can be used as copier or even scanner via usb-cable.
But when I try to print at least a test page - an error pops up in the spooler window.
Drivers install the printer as a COM-device. I read on the official site that this is normal.
image001.jpg(this is taken from toshiba site, mine shows another model and port number)
If on Windows 7(32 bit) - in the 'Printers and devices' window there are the printer itself AND one strange unknown device called TOSHIBA e-Studio 206(COM3).
On Windows XP it's all the same except there's no that strange device.
I am sorry if I posted in the wrong forum, but since that thing is a copier in first place(or so I think...)..
P.S:I tried to use different USB-cable - no effect. I guess, I'll try another one while waiting for your kind answerrs.. Thank you!
UPD: I found another cable about 1,5 meters long with ferrite filters. Now what I have is: if drivers are uninstalled with 'add/remove programs' wizard, pc is rebooted,0 and drivers then reinstalled - printer starts working! But only until the PC reboots again. And then we're back to the start of the thread
I will now go experiment with a bunch of cables to see, what iti does...
