I recently purchased an off-lease 451c and set it up today. It's hooked into a working fax line that worked fine with the previous copier. However, I can't get the machine to send or receive anything. The Line 1 LED lights up for a few seconds when it's trying to send. The same LED also blinks for a period of time when a call comes in, but it never seems to connect. I don't know if this is normal or relevant, but when I call the fax number using my cell phone, it rings a couple of times and then the fax seems to pick up (there's no noise on the line at this point).
I should mention that I believe the tech I bought it off of installed the fax board when I picked it up so at the moment I don't know if he went through all of the steps to install it.
I was hoping someone could help me troubleshoot this one... perhaps I need to reinitialize the fax board?
