Does anyone know of a way to create a manual designation of the "paper type" for the paper trays? There are preset types available but I need to be able to add my own types. This is for printing Postscript files. Different preprinted forms are loaded into different trays and are then feed from the different trays based on demand from the file. Not a normal thing for lower end machines but is critical for production printing.

Re: Toshiba eStudio 850 Paper Type Designation:
Thank you for the reply. The 08-613 only allows you to select preset paper sizes. I need to be able to set the "paper type". I need to give it a "paper type" name to match the name in the postscript file so it will select the proper tray to feed. It will be set up with 4 Ledger trays and each Ledger paper is a different pre-printed form. The creator of the file gives the paper a "paper type" name so it will print on the proper page since they are all the same paper size. This is how it knows that each tray is different even though the size is all the same. I service Xerox Docutechs that do this. It was my hope that this machine would do it since it does have a paper type selection but so far I have only seen how to use predefined types. Thanks again!!!!Comment

Thanks for everyone's input! What I found out is Toshiba's term for this capability is "Tray Switching" and it is not supported by this model. I'm not sure if any model does. As mentioned in one of the replies maybe something can be done from a custom driver. Thanks again!Comment
