    Toshiba e-studio 556 with e020 error

paper is jaming in and after fuser before exit guide. paper is accordion in the fuser. I have swapped the exit solenoid, the spring and the roller that the white flap with fingers is on and still get jams. I have updated firmware. I have flipped the paper upside down. I have had times where i could get 150-200 pages to go through, thought the problem was fixed only to have to go back the next day.

    Any suggestions,

    thanks Kirk

Error Jam E020 means the paper entered the Fuser but the trailing did not exit, usually the culprit is a chipped or broken Sep Claw or missing spring, replace them anyway also check & clean the Inlet & Outlet Guides for Toner buildup.

Check the duplex turnover assembly on the exit door. look at the white plastic guides that divert paper, they get cracks in them and catch the lead edge.

In the left door behind the solenoid gate there is a black guide that will get small burrs on it and cause E020 jams, sanding them off works for a while. That guide has been modified 6LH73778000 ASYS-GUIDE-REV-MID-H19X we have tried it on a few of machines to see if it solves the problem.

Tech has advised of some black milars to cover the old ones on the exit door just below the black exit piece. I have tried those to no avail. i have also read on a post to add tension to the spring for the exit white piece. no avail. we went into test mode and saw that the humidity is at like 11%. machines are supposed to run between 20-85%
