    e-311c Transfer belt slipping forward

    Hi everybody,
I've a 311 color machine, with the transfer belt slips toward the front door all the time.

Have checked the belt rollers and springs, they seems ok but the belt keeps slip forward (toward the front door) which force the belt to get in contact with the belt external parts and hence will be broken.

have changed the belt , but th problem stand still.

    any ideas to dig around?

The only time I've seen this is when one of the black plastic holders on the right side of the TBU assy is broken. This will cause the belt to walk towards one side. There are two of these, both on the right side when looking at the TBU from above, one on the front and one on the rear of the roller assy. They have protrusions that fit into the side frame to help maintain tension. Over time, the piece with the protrusion would break off and screw up the tension.

      Thks Audio,
Indeed the both plastic holders are broken and they aer barely handling the 1st roller,
it might be the cause for this case ,but we've similar machine with these holders broken and they still work fine, so i 'll try to ballance the rollers tension unitll we have the plastic holder in our stock again.

      thanks,

        UPDATE

        Hi everybody,
Just want to update this issue,

After a careful inspection to the transfer unit, i've found that the service office who had repaired this unit forgot the middle joint screw that tight the hing mechanism for the belt, being so the belt will be somehow loose and will slip to either direction.

now it's ok though i was forced to cut about 5 cm of the belt that was partly cracked, but its working anyway

        thanks
