I have a lot of e456 series in the field and have had really good reliability including in high volume school locations. Keep your firmware up todate. Customers really like them. Although much lighter in weight than the previous e453 series of copiers, this latest series is superior by any measure.
The immediately preceding and now discontinued e355/e455 series did have a number of problems that were eventually resolved with various modifications and factory updates.Comment

Re: E Studio 355/455 what do ya'll think
I am not a fan of the 355. I have worked on Toshiba's for over 20 years. This model has made it hard to convince users that Toshiba is a good product. I have not seen the the 456 yet and I just don't know if I really want to. I have had a system board go out and I have been experiencing alot of the issues that the 100+ service bullentins cover.
Right now I have one that like's to give the jam code E061 & E062 depending on what tray you are using at the time. This jam code is suppose indicate that the paper size is wrong. It is not. After removing the jam it may run hundreds without doing it again, it might go days or it might do it a couple of more times before it decides to run properly. Does anybody have any thoughts on what this could be. Ugh !!!Comment
