Sisabling IQC and laser correction 281c

    Hi guys,

Would it cause any major image problems down the track if 08 - 556 and 557 were disabled? machine was calibrated etc but as the firmware was updated to the latest version CE40 keeps coming up. I don't want to put new developer in and I fully calibrated the machine prior and switched off these two codes. Will the print quality deteriorate a lot over time? I have already tried doing sky shots to try and draw some toner out with no cartridge installed but the dev vals are still out after re-running 05 - 204 hence this as a last option.

    Cheers

    Jay

You may lose density over time if the machine is not performing the IQC (05-396) but aslong as the machine is kept clean and maintained, and the iqc is performed during each visit/service you should be ok. I work with people who disable this rather than doing a good job on the machine. I used to mainly fix these machines over a 7-8 year period and I can count on 1 hand the machines I had to disable this on.
It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.
