    Drum unit locked

I have an es5520c that I the drum unit is locked. I had the assy out and replaced drums. When I slid the tray back in it would not go all the way in. Now I can not slide the unit back out. Does anyone seen this?

If you're talking about the whole imaging unit won't go the full travel of the rails, I've seen that once.

It was on a Sharp Polaris (MX-6240), that didn't have enough room to open the imaging drawer properly. The front door hit a file cabinet, and the drawer hit the door, and it tweaks the rails. I assisted another tech in changing out these rails, mostly because the imaging drawer is a full 100# all by itself, and difficult to handle, and in a too-small room. There were three rails on this unit. We got two of them off intact. The damaged one ... well we had to break it into 5 pieces with pliers, and prying, and wrenching. Oh, what fun! And the whole time trying to hold up the imaging drawer.

Assembly was surprisingly easy. The rails are designed to slide apart with a spring steel release. When they're not damaged it comes right apart, mount the 6 rail halves, then slide it right in, easy as cake. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
