Toshiba 477sl no APS from glass

New copier. Set RADF for APS. When trying to copy from the glass get an error "Can't complete operation, put original in RADF".

When trying to copy from the glass the APS display is off, doesn't operate, it comes on when I insert an original in the RADF.

To make a copy from the glass I have to go to the zoom key and choose the tray - too many steps!

    Which setting is wrong? Thanks

There is no APS from the glass on these models. There's no sensors under the glass for that feature. It's a low-end box with limited features. It's the same with e347 box.
Why does every customer think they're the first one to ever say: "you've been here so much we should get you an office, ha, ha, ha"?

Are you sure? The manual says that there are aps sensors on the scanner. Also the user guide says it a available.

The sensors are in the scanner (ADF) but none under the glass, so APS only works through ADF and not on glass.

Well, I maybe have a bigger problem. When the copier is in standby I select the LT tray push the start key I hear a beep but there is no copy, I have to select the Mix-Zoom key, to select the LT tray to push the start key and only then I'll get a copy. Why I don't get a copy by simply select LT and Start? Thanks

Try 08-9183-1. Legal size pages will scan as legal size pages.

            08-9133-2 will turn off APS.

I need the APS for the RADF, mix original. My problem is that I can't make a simple copy from the glass, when I select the paper tray and select Start I hear a beep and no copy produced, the ready light stays on. The only way to make a copy from the glass is to go to the Zoom icon, select the tray and then select Start.
There must be a way to select the tray push Start and have a copy without pushing 3 keys to produce a simple letter size copy.
08-9183 is only for fax setting.
08-9133 must stay on 0 - as I said I need the APS.

I would look at your firmware and make sure that it's current.
