Xerox WC 7830 Fuser System error

    Hi all

I attended a 7845 series machine which errors on Fuser system error. After checking the latest error in service mode, the error is 310-330-00 Fuser Motor Failure.

I removed the fuser and tried it in another machine and the fault followed so we sent a new fuser but the customer reports the fault remains!

Can anyone help with this error?

I have a WC 7970 throwing a "Fuser System Error" after getting a jam indication. Did you get your machine problem resolved? How so?

We had two machines with the same fault, the first machine was resolved by replacing the ITB retract clutch assembly and also the fuser motor.

The second machine was resolved by simply replacing the fuser.

I was informed that there was a tech bulletin about this something to do with a POT on the LVPS?

Great information, thanks. Wish I could get my hands on that bulletin. Maybe the POT has something to do with fuser motor current. Thanks again!

Any more info about the pot? I'd like to turn that little sucker and see if it works.

Gonna try the itb retract clutch next

Make sure that you have the correct fuser in. The 7830/35 is the LOW SPEED fuser. Take out the fuser and see if you can rotate the gear by hand. You should not be able to. Do the following below with and without the fuser installed.

Enter into diagnostics and go to DC330 - component control -

            [010-001] (Fuser Drive Motor).
            [094-012] (1st BTR Contact)
            [094-013] (1st BTR Retract)

            007K18552 - Fuser Drive Assembly 7830/35

            Hope this helps

yea. We have the right fuser. Trying another one here in about and hour. Then I'm going to try the itb clutch assembly. I don't see how that little guy could cause so much trouble bogging down the system but I'm taking it with me. I really believe the fuser will resolve it cuz when running the fuser the engaging the pr it definitely sounds bogged down. A whole lot of gears doings whole lot of stuff. It is a little much. I'll keep you posted.

Replace fuser assembly and reset NVM 744-001 to "0". That will probably fix it.

I would replace the fuser first and if this not help then fuser motor but I think replacing fuser will solve your problem. Just make sure you got fuser for 7830/35 not 7845/55.
