Probs installing fiery with crossover cable

Hi, I am having lots of trouble installing the fiery software, I have tried with the crossover cable but it doesnt finish... I read about installing it with usb, but I cant seem to find the software or instructions..

I have 1.0 fiery software cd.

Could anyone guide me in the right direction ??
