7655 host to host usb communication failure

After booting up from paper cassette gear service. No PWS avail, checked USB connections between UI and ESS.
Can someone confirm proper USB port position on ESS ? Hope I'm not up a creek on this one. Unplugged and letting sit for a while, waiting for a miracle.

I believe the USB is plugged into the top left port on controller.

I believe that proper USB port is bottom right.
will check tomorrow.
