    WC 5875 AltBoot

    Hi,

Having problems with this WC5875, hdd is dead. Trying to AltBoot but seems that I need Data cable or Forced_Upgrade file.
Could anyone share this file with me to do USB Altboot (is it same for 57xx series) and
what kind of cable is 600T02332 Data cable used for PWS AltBoot
    Thank you

Did you replace the hard drive? I have had to replace several hard drives on the 58xx series. I have not had any problems with altboot. You just need the dlm. file inside a folder named Altboot on a thumb drive.

Tried with couple hdd's and usb pen's. Not starting, that's why I want to try with PWS Altboot.
      Thank you

        SBC board problem.
Take a look at diagnostic led's and read the procedures from edoc.

Try a new memory module. Software loads to memory first and then to the hard drive.

By the way, you can create your own forced upgrade file. Its an empty file. Create a TXT text file with nothing written in it. Name the file "FORCED_UPGRADE" in all caps just like that. Finally, delete the file extension ".TXT" Place that file inside your Altboot folder along with your DLM file to do a forced altboot.
