Since DR got his machine fixed ( different model than yours ) you should have started a NEW thread of your own.. now it will be mixed in with the 7830.

If you have code 5 and your display is blank (white) then you have to replace SD card and altboot machine.

what if i have an 8 ???

Just create folder called altboot and put dlm file in.
7830-35 dlm file and notepad file forced upgrade.
Dlm file must be in altboot folder.
You have to buy sd card from xerox.
First try altboot

Hi guys,
I'm pretty sure that the fault is the SD card. Replaced them four times last summer due to thunderstorm power outages.
The original card will help for sure but there is another solution. Re-program the card.
Of course one has to get the 4G sized image first.

When plugged in onto the ESS card the machine overwrites the serial number on the new card and it is gone = take a bit copy of the card in Linux or by some other means, you can always use the clone for re-programming the card.

THEN use AltBoot and load the software.

Check small led display at back side of machine.
Post here letter or number which you have on display.

No need to altboot after replacing SD card. chances are SD card is corrupt instead of faulty so can be re-imaged.

PM me your email and i'll send you SD card image for this machine and win32 disk imager, you may need something like minitool partition wizard (free) to format the card first to make it readable by windows. Wouldn't hurt to have a spare card though, 4GB or 8GB will be fine.

My machine also shows 5 on the 7-segment display.

Does anyone have an SD-card image for an Xerox 7830?

Win32 Disk Imager format is fine.
Linux dd raw-copy also fine.

Dear members,

I also have the same problem as OP.
All lights are constantly on but the display is blank (not white, just not on at all)

The red number indicator is number 5.

The board seems fine are the small fan is running and small leds on board are blinking normal.

If you have SD Image in Win32 Disk Imager format
I'd be very appreciated for sharing.

And I replaced card from another machine wc7835 it give me non compatible toner for all color set what I can do ?

WC75xx do not have SD card.
Check NVM 740-053 and 740-055 to see do you need metered or sold toners
