So I’ve been working on this 7120 for a couple months now learning as I go. I’ve been told that even getting a tech out on it isn’t possible since it’s obsolete. She recommended Johnny Fix-It down the street… well that’s me. So it was hanging on initialization 3/6 for some time till I discovered all the boot modes using the stop/cancel button, I think it’s unfortunate I discovered the clear NVRAM mode first but on the bright side it doesn’t hang any more and actually goes to a GUI which then tells me page fault/error 124-315 and my understanding is this is a mismatch with the components and/or firmware versions. I’ve figured out how to get it to accept and supposedly install firmware through USB but two different versions and still the same. All of the special boot modes result in the same error except the long diag mode which gives me an error 116-317. I haven’t yet looked this up. I’m trying to get firmware version 71.23.23 as I’m to understand it may provide telnet access because as of now it is all quiet in the network unfortunately. So I’m always just looking for the next possibility so trying that firmware, then I think it comes down to the USB for PWS mode and attempt to get the software and a cable and see what can be done. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated
