    Xerox c405 hanging on a splash screen

    The original issue is the title, some things that I've tried so far:

    1. Special boot mode --> Factory init mode
    Was still not able to boot past the Xerox splash screen

    2. Updating the firmware via "Download mode" with a Thumbdrive leads to a "ERR: BOOTER FAILED!".
    I've tried connecting using a usb-a to usb-b 2.0 cable but it doesn't seem to recognize it, nor does it recognize a network cable connection.

    Anyone have any ideas?
