Having never worked on a 3030 before our client begged us to work on it. It was printing streaks on both edges of the paper. Once we figured out how to get the drum unit out of the machine we noticed the drum was worn on the edges and assumed it needed a new drum. Got the new drum in and put the drum unit back in the machine. Machine makes some groans and prints 2 copies. We take the drum unit back out and there are the same wear patterns that where on the old drum. The drum is literly worn down to the "ALUMINUM" just like the old drum. We figured the drum was rubbing by the developer roller. So we adjust the whole "developer block" back by lossening some screws and pushing the whole block back. It does quit rub but I feel like we adjusted something that we should'nt and that there is a "peice" missing that should keep the photo drum from rubbing against the edges of the drum. Has anyone experience such a thing? I'm going to drop another drum in however I want to make sure that it does,nt end up gouging the drum.
