Is it worth buying Xerox DC12 3-340 error

I am looking for printer for our small startup design company
Money is very tight and we only need something to get us going

I've been offered a Xerox DC 1250 with a Fiery Rip
But is coming up with a 3-340 error

The price is very very good

Is it worth taking a punt?

DC1250 i belive is the DC 12 with the cobra RIP, If so I am not happy with the quality of the RIP, you would need a X12 RIP to give you decent prints.

Error code: it can be rectified by reinstalling the IOT software. Its a IOt communication fault.
a machine is only as good as your tech : source:screwtape ; the scary one

Thanks, It might not be worth the trouble. Cheap + 160hr for repair does not add up.

It looks like the IR3220 maybe the winner

if you never work with this m/c then is good for you to have the 3220 just a color m./c

IR3220 is junk. Try to get some help from local tech, Quality and performance is much better than 3220.
Try using X12 PS driver for Cobra Fiery, you will get better quality, if not same features of X12.

thanks. The seller of the DC12 is unable to tell me click rate due to the error

so its a bit of a shot in the dark, it could be high milage

A design company I work for a few years ago had a DC12 and
it was very reliable compared to the CLC 1180

              Comes with ex12 fiery Rip

Error 3-340 can be an ESS or IIT/ IPS board problem if you say they're selling it cheap. It looks like the seller doesn't want to spend money on it knowing that the error code must have been attempted by a technician with software reload and some basic troubleshooting but with no success. I still wouldn't risk it as this machines are costly to maintain if you're not on contract with FX
