    fuser reset Xerox DocuColor 250

Anyone know if you can reset this fuser replace count through diagnostics? Or must the fuser be replaced? They are expensive little things aren't they!

There is a Heat Fuse on the Fuser that blows after the Fuser reaches a certain temperature. When replacing a Fuser, the machine needs to be run.

There is a way to reset the fuser. Parts Drop offers a fuser reset fuse at a reasonable cost. It can be found as 252FUS or under fuser section for 76XX Copiers. NOTE: When resetting fuser you must let the fuser cool down due to the fact that heat is what blows the thermal fuse and it needs to be in the machine to reset the count. After installing run about 20 copies and that should heat it up enough to reset the fuser. You could also pull out the thermal fuse and look for one from digi-key or other vendor temp and Ma are what you want to look at.

What is the sequence of key strokes and the information required to do this procedure?

            Thanks
