Lots of Problems with Fiery X12.

I have been having lots of problems with my Fiery X12 (It's connected to a Docu Color 12):
-Every time it is turned on it, prints a configuration sheet.
-When it turns on, it frequently reprints the jobs of the previous day.
-It frequently freezes when printing from the PC (Windows XP).
-I have two Mac 10.4s connected, but I can't get either of them to print with Docu Color 12 (I have installed the drivers from Xerox.com). They used to print, but since I have reformatted them, nothing works (They can find the printer, but when you send a job nothing happens).

Is there anyway I can fix these? I have tried doing a system restore, but the problems remain.

Should I consider buying a new ripper? They have one on Ebay for and , would any of them help?

1)configuration page: it can be turned off. You can either do it on the fiery display screen or using setup in command workstation or via browser
2)Printing last job: I did have this problem its a driver related issue. I dont remember the solution . I had this machine 4 years ago.
3)freezing : could be ram or Hard DIsk probelm. Usually reinstalling hard disk resolves the issue
        4)mac: i have no idea

I dont think you would need a new rip. keep your fingers crossed. good luck
a machine is only as good as your tech : source:screwtape ; the scary one

          1. configuration page, run fiery setup and turn off configuration page,
          2. reprint last job, find patch on xerox web site, or download and install composite patch from xerox web site and will resolve this problem

          3. more info about freezing during print
          4. check which queue name you use

download it to direct queue on command work station, wait about 60 sec and then restart fiery
if download composite patch from xerox site you will get instruction how to install this upgrade

                Hi Thanks for your help.
Sorry to be a nuisance, but which option in Command Work station do I select to make the download.

I have had a good look but cannot find anything!

on CWS must be option JOB,
open it and will be option to import or to download file
choose direct queue and find patch file to download it to fiery

When you reinstalled the system software were there 2 files on the CD? I've had that problem before and it's important which file you install 1st. The larger one is the system software and the smaller is the PS language. The larger system file needs loaded 1st then install the smaller file (PS) last, otherwise you lose the PS language. This might be why your Mac's aren't printing.

Since its up and running all you have to do is install the 2nd smaller system software file. I'm assuming, of course, there are 2 files on your Fiery system software CD.
