Xerox 214 problem

Hi,

I need to repair a Xerox 214, it has U2 error, it is an Internal hardware error?
How to start the repair?

U2 is a scanner home position error, either the scanner is not getting to the home position or it is getting to the home position and the machine does not recognise it, scanner moter? home position sensor? hope this helps

Hello there


U2 is the result of powering OFF the machine while it was in the warming up mode (and haven't finished it), also can result because of the exposure lamp cannot illuminate properly the black/white band underneath the glass and hence throwing this code.
